Crypto-assets have experienced rapid growth in recent years.
According to the IMF their total market capitalisation has increased from less than $20 billion in January 2017 to more than $3 trillion in November 2021. But this capitalisation has dropped under 1 trillion in mid 2022. In addition to being sensitive to economic conditions, crypto-assets are becoming increasingly intertwined with the financial system. There is an urgent need to design appropriate regulatory policies to address challenges such as financial stability and safety for users.

Biography:
Marianne Jarlaud is currently Senior Policy Officer for the Innovation and Digital Finance division, in the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate at the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers she joined in 2017. She has been representing the AMF in European and international policy fora dedicated to investor protection and financial intermediaries’ regulation and since 2022 to financial innovation in the financial markets’ field. Prior to joining the AMF, Ms Jarlaud worked for 8 years as Compliance officer covering wealth management, private equity and wholesale activities of both French and international financial institutions. She graduated from ESSEC in 2010 and holds a post-graduate degree in Financial Criminal Law. Since 2022, she has been closely involved in the regulatory changes affecting the crypto-assets industry at European level.
Biography:
Marcelo Moscatelli works as Sales Director at Ledger Enterprise for the EMEA Region.
He has been working in the crypto industry for the last 5 years, being able to witness the space’s hyper growth and the massive institutional adoption that has been happening over the last 2 years.
Prior to joining Ledger, he worked for a regional crypto exchange in Argentina and then joined the Institutional Sales team of Crypto.com, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and a Masters in Finance from UCEMA (+6 months Masters in Management at ESSEC).
Marcelo is a crypto and Web3 enthusiast and fosters businesses that stand for financial freedom and self-sovereignty.
